Connecting the Polk DBRX soundbar to a TV that does not have an eARC/ARC HDMI connection

My TV does not have an eARC/ARC HDMI connection, how do I connect it  to my Polk DBRX soundbar?
You have two other options for connection:

Optical Connection

Connect your source devices (Blu-ray player, DVD player or Cable/satellite box) directly to your TV and the Optical audio output from your TV to the Optical input on the back of the Sound bar.

  • This connection will provide the highest quality audio regardless of whether you are watching TV or DVD.

  • NOTE: Depending on your TV’s settings, you may have to turn off your TV’s internal speakers or select the OPTICAL output to turn the output ON; we recommend consulting your TV’s instructions manual for model specific instructions.

Aux (Analog 3.5mm headphone jack) (certain models only)
Connect your source devices (Blu-ray player, DVD player or Cable/satellite box) directly to your TV and the included RCA adapter audio output from your TV’s ANALOG AUDIO OUTPUT to the AUX input on the back of the Sound bar.
  • NOTE 1: If your TV has the same 3.5mm headphone jack as the audio output, you will need an adapter.

  • NOTE 2: Depending on your TV’s settings, you may have to turn off your TV’s internal speakers or select the AUDIO OUT in your TV’s menu. We recommend consulting your TV’s owners manual for model specific instructions.
