Issues with the TV's remote

Why doesn't my TV's remote work when I try to control the volume on the sound bar?

This issue can be caused by the following:

1 -  Your TV might not be included in the pre-programmed codes.
2 -  The HDMI cable is not connected.
3 -  HDMI CEC is not available on the TV.
4 -  HDMI CEC is available on your TV but it is not enabled.

Make sure that your TV has Consumer Electronic Control (CEC) turned on. CEC is often off by default.

Most manufacturers use their own unique name for CEC. Below are listed the common names for CEC:

LG: SimpLink

Mitsubishi: NetCommand for HDMI

Onkyo: RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI)

Panasonic: HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync, or VIERA Link

Philips: EasyLink

Pioneer: Kuro Link

Runco International: RuncoLink

Samsung: Anynet+

Sharp: Aquos Link

Sony: BRAVIA Sync

Toshiba: CE-Link or Regza Link

Vizio: CEC
