"No sound" condition with HDMI-ARC connection with TV

I connected my Polk Audio sound bar to the HDMI-ARC connection of my TV but I'm not getting any sound. What is wrong?

1) Make sure that your Polk Audio sound bar is connected properly: HDMI-ARC connection on the TV to "TV HDMI" (the HDMI connector in the white box) on the Command Bar.

2) Verify that the TV can control the Command Bar by pressing the TV "Vol +/-" on the TV's remote control. (The LED ring on the Command Bar should turn white if any of these buttons is pressed).

If the bar responds to the TV's commands:

Verify that the ARC connection is enabled in the TV. You may need to refer to the TV's user guide to ensure the proper settings are selected. Some TV's have multiple settings that could affect the ARC output.

If the bar does NOT respond to the TV's commands:

You need to enable HDMI-CEC control. CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) has different names based on the TV manufacturer. You may need to refer to the TV's user guide to ensure the proper settings are selected. Some TV's have multiple settings that could affect the CEC output.

3) Once CEC and ARC are enabled, the Command Bar should announce "TV HDMI" when a signal is detected from the TV. You should now have sound from your TV through your Command Bar.
